I was told today that in January 2011 there will be a new law that all vehicles need to be insured whether that said vehicle is road worthy or not.

Has any one else come across this new law or was I misinformed?

There is a statement about this by Footman James in the latest VSCC newsletter. As I understand it, vehicles that have a current SORN in force will not have to be insured but I would welcome other people's interpretation.

This might be stating the obvious, but even if the vehicle is off the road it could still get stolen or destroyed by fire...
