Put a 1275 in that bugey and cruising speed will be up to 130 easy ;)
My 1966 1380 midget is my daily drive and i love every minute of it.

Can't wait until I get my D on the road but some how i don't think it will be nearly as practical as the midget.
I will try to use it a lot though
Not only on the special days but also on the supermarket trip and commute (i have a nice non highway route)
Some how doing normal things in special cars makes life better!

I have PB capacity and 8.5:1 CR on my PA, plus a 10% taller back axle ratio, and the car will cruise all day at 60 mph at about 3,700 revs. As others have said, it is the driver (and passenger), not the car, that would limit your range. I tend to budget for 150-200 miles per day, with morning coffee, lunch and afternoon coffee stops. It is tiring, but in an enjoyable way. You only notice it when you get out at the end of the day.

Derek, as discussed at Glamis on Sunday, take your J2 back to Dave Stewart, and ask him to check everything - he is expecting to hear from you.
