This is a first posting to report that J3 J3772, Engine No 1816 AJ72 has returned from Italy to the UK and UK ownership.
Along with the original Instruction Manual for the J3, much in common with the J2 Manual. If anyone requires copies of pages covering specific items, please let me know.
Photo attached.
Now to get it started (flat battery!)

Hi Ian
Congratulations on your purchase.
I believe John Reid may have owned this car, maybe I am wrong but I know he will post a response.
The last 2 J3s I saw were J3763, owned by Ross Kelly, and J3762 owned by Ed Taylor who brought their cars over to Europe from Australia for a bit of touring and competition.
We look forward to seeing the car.
Regards
George

Hi Ian,
I hope you will enjoy 3772 as much as I am with 3758. It appears you will be able to drive the car as bought. mine will need considerable work before i can join you on the road. Would it be possible to see your car some time as i need some details not found on the J2 cars I can access. I am in Newbury .Berks. Other than a posting here, please contact me on daveroberts.redlodge@sky.com |

Dave you are most welcome.
As far as a quick overview by Ollie Richardson can tell it is still pretty well original with a slightly patched body, cycle wings rather than the original flared version, the original engine and drive train, and some funny oil plumbing.
It is, of course, available to anyone needing to check details, please contact me direct on

ian,
Thank you for lunch on Saturday, the opportunity to take 47 photographs of the car details, and the 10 minute video of the ride in 3772 you gave me. I might put it on Youtube.
Details of missing brackets, hole centres, pipework runs for fuel and lubrication and the front apron, will allow me to reproduce replacements accurately.
Regards..........Dave 3758
