Hi All,
Is there anyone in the UK with an F- or D-type fuel tank we could use as a pattern to have a new one made?
Any thought appreciated! Cat

Yes and I am coming over to see Stefaan in January.. the available one is from the salonette, only the filler is different.
I presume it is a tourer tank you are actually after?
Cheers

Cat, Peter is correct, the D, J1 & F1/F3 tanks are the same except the filler is positioned differently on a Salonette as well as angled differently too ... I have one of each but dimension overall are the same. I know John Steadman had one made recently which is superb perhaps he can enlighten you to the price and maker!

Onno, we fear using a D-type tank, even as a pattern, might slow the F1 down ... Can't take risks like that, now, can we?
