An original negative currently up for grabs on fleabay: Could this be J4002 at a Filton sprint in the late 40s whilst owned by R D Poore?

I have a (copy of a) picture of a C-type at this exact location. Anything more on 'Filton'? Where, club, etc?

Google 'Filton Sprint' and you will find information about the 1944 and 1945 events

Missed this when it was first posted.

This picture was one of a whole bunch - among many similar lots from the 30s, 40s and 50s - sold by one dealer. Some were identified, others - including this one - were not.

It's definitely not Filton, which was run in October mist and rain on the airfield runway. There were actually some pictures of that for sale too.

I believe, having seen all the pictures and based on the description of the course in Peter Hull's history of the VSCC, that this picture was taken at the Littleborough Sprint in 1937.
