I am trying to trace an old MG - believed to be an M Type - My wife's late father purchased it 14.6.56 - It was red - Registration DG 804 - registered 7.7.1930 - engine number MG 1593A - chassis number 2M 1819
DVLA's site says it was last taxed in 1983 and we understand that it was owned by Mick Godfrey in 2006 so hopefully it is in a museum or private collection.
Would love to see the car so any information would be appreciated-

Hi John

Unfortunately there is no record of this car in the printed 2011 Register.

"New" cars do come to our notice so maybe it survives out there somewhere.

But it was in there in 1993 (owned by Mick Godfrey), as car number 1778 on the register. John, if you contact the registrar direct, he may be able to shed a bit more light.

John contacted me this morning but there is nothing known of the car since Mr Godfrey. I think John posted this following me having delivered this news.
