The only details held in the chassis file for this car are that it was a red, four seat tourer, first registered and sold in October 1935 by P.J.Evans of Birmingham.
The car was advertised for sale by A.J. Bayliss and Son Ltd of Solihull in 'The Sports Car' of December 1937 as having covered 11,000 'carefully driven' miles by one owner. The registration number for this car is not known, which makes it virually impossible to trace. Notwithstanding this, efforts continue to track its history down and any possible 'leads' will be gratefully received.
The chassis is alive and well and is being restored as a 2-seater. It is not currently on the Triple-M Register. |

Assuming that the car was registered in Birmingham, the letters in use in that month were: BOH and BOJ, followed by three numbers.
All Birmingham registration records were destroyed, along with many other authorities', by order of the then government.
The Kithead Trust is the other possible source, other than finding the supplying dealer's records. |
