The intact and apparently original bonnet, with catches, from L 0274 is being sold as Lot 6 at HVA tomorrow, April 11th., est. £50 - 70.

Lot 23 is a set of S/H PA internals, est. £80 - 100.

L0274 is shown in the Register as being in Japan and is described as being an L based Lester special.

It is also shown as being for sale in June 2008.

The bonnet, thankfully, has remained in Herefordshire as a relic of the original car from before it became a 'special'. Perhaps it might find a sympathetic home.

I could see no paint code - it is in faded light blue.

Should a car's bonnet number be noted on the Register - if present - as a confirmation of originality?

Are we sure it is an L Type bonnet? Does it say L? I think it might be a P

because of

the bonnet catches
the length, 40"...
and possibly the louvres.

The picture of the red P airline (on this site) has louvres like this,
Ps have catches like this and
40" as I recall is the bonnet length on my J.
