I have a one-off car that uses Wolseley axles and I need a pair of rear splined hubs to build up another axle casing for when mine gets taken apart for rebuild. I don't need the shafts but would welcome a set of hubs, even if worn, so long as they will pass an M.O.T test.
I'm in Cardiff but travel around a bit.

Other bits I could do with finding include a set of 4 Hartfords of the type used on the front of the P types, a front axle beam for a pre-war Morris Minor and a useable engine for the same.

Any suggestions would be most welcomed.

Rob

I have a pair of good rear hubs one with a shaft and one without.

Thanks, Brian.
3 questions, whre are you, how much and if you are far away would you be able to post them? I may also need a pair of rear spinner nuts if the ones on the current axle are a different thread. Unlikely, but you never know!

Dick Morbey ... Hmmmmmmmm ... that name rings a bell. Did I buy either a P body or a P windscreen off of you about 15 years ago????

Small world, innit!

Yes Rob, you did indeed - the body, at least! What became of it? Is it on the one off car mentioned in this posting?

Would love to see some pics!

Hi Rob, I have an M Type front axle beam that I believe is the same as a Minor one.
Any experts please advise if this is not the case.

Bob

The body has been 'off' due to us moving house last year. Meanwhile, can anyone guess where this rad shell came from???

Bob. That would be the same as the Minor, I'm fairly sure. I currently have a Morris 8 beam which is about 3 inches wider and this affects the bowdenex cable brakes quite a lot. The original beam had rusted out across the front with deep pitting. Not worth trying to use it.
Any idea what it is worth?

Close. The shell was hand made by the chap who taught me to use the English Wheel. He copied the inner dimensions of a Y but made the front flatter for me, more like an earlier car. The bottom of it shows the flatness. He did it this way to allow me to use a Y radiator. Cost me a slab of St Miguel beers! The chroming was done down in Dorset and it was only after I got it back that I realised I'd forgotten to ask for him to add the hole for the starter handle. I never did get round to having the extra bit chromed.

Easier to see in this earlier pic

Brian. No great hurry but I'd like to buy those rear hubs off you if you still have them. Will your friend still be able to pop the shaft out of the hub for ease of postage?
Cheers
