Great to see Richard Last and the ex Parnell K3009 at todays Festival of Speed, running in the "Pre-War GP Cars" Class alongside the W125 Mercedes Silver Arrow and other exotica. Dick clocked a very respectable time of 66 seconds for the just under one and a quarter mile hill (sorry, we don't do metres here in West Sussex) which was only 20 seconds slower than the overall FTD set up by Anthony Reid (a former M.G. race driver) who did 46.46 seconds in his brand new GP2 Chevron.
Well done Dick, the K3 looked and sounded beautiful.
To Mr Linward, how about a handful of COTY points for Richard.
Sorry ! I was listening to the commentary on a screen as big as my house, but my crap hearing got the better of me. Anthony Reid's car is a new GT3 Chevron and not as stated. It was still b****y quick.
