I am looking for chassis dimensional drawings for a D-type.

I have found them for the P in the downloads section and a similar drawing for a D would be perfect.
Since a C (plus a few inches for my long D) or a J are so similar these would be a good alternative.

Part of my plans with this is to turn it in to a CAD drawing and a 3D model.

These would off course be available to others if wanted.

Hi Onno,
The C and the short D chassis have a shallower rail than all the other triple-Ms. These D chassis are very different from a C where things are all much closer together....the front road springs being about the only fittings at the same centres....
The late D chassis at 7'2" has the same section in the rail as the J series cars and all the cross tubes are at the same centres. The chassis drillings are the same as J1.......that should sort it out!

Thanks for the info Barry!
I think you will appreciate my new plans for the D....

Since mine is a late D (one of the last 5 made) D or J drawings wanted.
No need for bolt holes etc just need the shape of the rails and positions of axles radiator etc.

I could always measure my own chassis but a drawing would be very helpful.
