New to MMM as I am contemplating the purchase of a 1930 M type. I have the dumb bell chassis number and would like to look at the available history. Can I access this on line (I suspect not, having read a previous post)or is hard copy available. |

Hello Peter,
Welcome to the Triple-M world. I suggest you contact the Registrar, Robin Hamblett, and he may be able to help. His details are on the Contacts page

Thank you John. I will continue to look for this but have been unlucky so far. The Contacts page lists 4 people, but there's not a Registrar amongst them. Sorry to be a bit slow, and thanks again for your help. |

Hello Peter, and a welcome from me too!
If you go back to the Register website home page (not just the Discussion Forum main page)you will find contacts, links, news, pictures, events details and much much more! See http://www.triple-mregister.org/
By the way, what is the chassis number? If the car is known to the Register we can let you have some info about it.

Thanks each and all. Mike has e-mailed me and I've advised him the chassis number as 1506. The car has a modified body, but has a buff form apparently |

Delighted to report that I have today bought MG 743, chassis 1506, original engine. Very thrilled. Apparently it is a Jarvis bodied car.I will forward all details to Robin for the Register once I take possession. One 67 year old small boy! |

Hi Peter
Congratulations on your purchase - a Jarvis bodied car is a rarity!
Chassis 1506 is shown in the 2012 printed Register as being MG748 and having a manxed body. It has the Register number 2829.
I am sure your new purchase will give you great fun.
Best regards

Thank you George. MG 748 of course, not 743. I read somewhere that it was a Jarvis body but I will check this out as it seems a little doubtful if they are so rare. I didn't pay a fortune. Very happy though and looking forward to Vintage or at least PVT motoring |
