A friend is looking at a 1932 Cycle Wing J2 , the number is 2175A with J 7 2 stamped under it on the usual place on the engine block, I know it is not the original motor to the car.

I am just enquiring - Is this a MG J2 block ? - if so what year.

Yes Al, it is.
Fitted 01/05/1933 into chassis J3311. Engine & chassis parted company sometime prior to 1970

According to the published Register, J3311 is in the USA and now has engine no. 1161AJ

J3311 belonged to a friend of mine, now given to his offspring. I'll check with them in case they are interested in working out a trade.
