Wishing you all A Very Happy and Safe Christmas.

Click below to see what wasn't under your tree this morning.
It passed through Lawrence, Kansas, a couple of months ago celebrating Union Pacific's 150 years.

Turn the volume UP-UP to wake-UP the neighbours.
Sorry about the low quality hand held camera. However, the quantity is there. I'm still waiting to hear back from Spielberg.

Best Wishes to all.

Topeka Branch?
"When I was a young boy, evening sun went down. Stand off by the railroad track...and I'd listen for the sound...
Of The Kansas City Southern, man... That a lonesome sound."
Have a great prairie Christmas Brian.
I know where you're coming from!

In reply Gary,

When I was a boy I worked for Charlie Watts, Rolling Stones when he lived in my home town of Lewes, East Sussex. He bought the house opposite my best friends pub called ' The Swan '. I have an LP record signed by all the ' Stones' called Sticky Fingers.
My best friend at school ( Bob ) photographed the initial portfolio of Pamela Irving, who became Mr. Grace's secretary in ' Are You Being Served '.......very happy times !

An ex girlfriend is Beaulah Grant ( google ).

My wife is the ex-wife of the fifth in line to the Duke of Montrose ( google )In fact he and their son are coming round for a drink this afternoon.

Chris

I also enjoyed the Steam train - what a hoot - but I did notice a couple of Diesel Electric Locos in the following line - "just for backup" of course.

We have an annual Train Race here - MG's v Steam Train, and the organisers have to jump through many hoops to get permission to run steam - mostly related to starting grassfires along the way. The train has to be followed by a Rural Fire Truck & crew and if a fire is started they have to stop & wait till the fire crew put out the blaze & keep close to the train.

Great fun to drive beside a steam locomotive at speed !.

We are here for a good time, not a long time !.
