Over the years I have built up a largish collection of photos of M Types taken from all manner of angles e.g. from under the dash and inside the boot. I used these extensively whilst building my car. They were taken at all manner of events including many at Silverstone. If owners were around I always sought permission, especially if a bonnet needed to be raised or I needed to bend over to photograph the under dash wiring. However I do have many snaps simply taken whilst "the car was there". Over the years I have responded to a number of forum requests for constructional details and have included photographs. Others have done the same. I now wonder if permission should be sought before photographs are posted?

According to Dutch copyright laws you do not have to.

On public property (or property open to the public) you can take pictures of every thing and publish them as you please.
The pictures are property of the photographer.
Only people on the pictures can give trouble.

Using pictures taken by some one else is an other discussion.

I imagine the UK laws are similar.
