When buying a m type the top tips are get one with correct 1. Rotax panel especially with correct switch gear. You can get instruments ok and some early m types have a lucas panel which is ok. 2. Correct windscreen 3. Correct radiator that is most important. Also a little trick what people do is build m types on Morris Minor chassis and stamp m type number on.
No - let's keep on picking holes in the red car - it is much more fun!!! My two pennyworth is that it has 2 early type wheels and 3 late type ones. And being really pedantic Andy Kings 12/12 has standard wheels - not the special 12/12 ones
The green car looks a useable car, but door handles(?) and a hole chopped in the bonnet for the petrol filler.(?). According to the chassis number, 2M 2802, it was built on the 28 April 1931 with engine number 2577A. Come to think of it there is no pictures of the engine! Another for sale at Richard Edmonds Auctions Lot 1116 on 2 March. This is a later car with straight head lamp stays, for total restoration. A new one to the register VU 5270, no chassis number quoted. Cheers
Is it just me of does the Le Mans M type look a bizarre contraption!
personally, I would say the best M type of the lot for sale at the moment has to be the one on www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk A high price tag goes with it
Another one for restoration is on www.prewarcar.com but again sports yet another slightly unusual looking M type body.
