Just watched a program about Donald Campbell and the water speed record attempt. I remember that after Blubird was recoverd there was some mention of the restored boat making some demo runs on Coniston, and even the local Council gave there approval to marginally exceed the lake speed limit! Does anyone know when this might be, cannot find anything on the internet? Would be there like a shot if it happened.
Thanks,
Paul.

And
there is another connection with MG's, as Donald Campbell owned RA0257 in the early fifties.
But in contrast to his father Sir Malcolm Campbell, who raced a R-type(RA0260), his son Donald entrusted his mechanic Leo Villa to convert the car to record braking specification.
But the project was never brought to fruition.
