Is there a difference between the Marles Weller steering column for the PA and J2. Are they interdchangable or is there a difference in the length. If someone can measure there P type column I can compare it with what I have.

My PA Marles Weller column is approximately 45.5 inches from the top of the tube to the top of the casting.

Thank's for that Bob. I just measured my column and got 46 inches exactly so my one will be ok. I did discover J2 cast in the underside of the steering box to chassis mounting bracket so it may be from a J2, I wonder if the P type has P cast into the bracket.

Despite great pain and suffering, I crawled under the car. My bracket says J2 as well.

Everything but the starter-motor ( anyone got 27401 under the bench?) on PA 0603 is original to the car, so I imagine that the bracket is a shared part.
