I have pictures taken at an 80,s MG Silverstone of JB 1473 then owned by L.R.Moore and this was fitted with a copy from the original hood and rear curtains. It is difficult to find anything on what was fitted to D,F2,J1 the works photo's do not show if an inner lip was fitted from screen back no stitching on the outside being visible. The rear curtains were press stud attached, how many? How were the curtains stiffened and held to the 3 studs visible on the inside of the body on the works picture? Pictures show that JB 1473 possibly answers all of this and more. How can I contact the present owner Register number 332?
Register No 332 is J0470 but it is not identified in the public listings as having Reg No. JB 1473. Our Registrar Robin Hamblett may have additional info that might link 332 to the car you are referring to.
Our general approach would be to ask the owner of any particuar car whether they are happy to be put in touch with the enquirer and thereby (hopefully) enable a dialogue to take place.
JB 1473 is the original registration number for this car. Please send me an email, directly and I will try to forward it to the current owner of the car.
