Hi All I am researching the 1933 Mille Miglia team for a new book coinciding with the 80th anniversary and I have been following the discussion on High Hamilton's mystery mechanic in the 1933 Ulster TT.
Another mystery man is Earl Howe's personal mechanic George Thomas who went to Italy with the Mille Miglia MG team and ended up driving with Clifton Penn-Hughes in Earl Howe's Mercedes. They drove as the backup vehicle and did well.
There is another of the Mille Miglia group in 1933 who is an unknown - Jimmy Guest. He is mentioned as working with Bert Denly at one of the pitstops. He doesn't seem to be part of the "insomnia crew".
