In a word - no! Except for the early years up to 1930, when there were subsidiary 1500cc and 1100cc races, it was essentially always a Formula race, usually attracting a pretty good entry of privateers and the occasional works car. The last two pre-war runnings in 1936 and 1939 were for sports cars, but under the ACF's formula, which excluded blown cars: an NE would theoretically have been eligible, but very few small sports cars ran in these races, which were dominated by big Bugattis, Talbots and Delahayes.
