Hello,

Has anyone had any experience of obtaining laid up (ie under restoration) car insurance where the car is kept in a wooden framed structure?

As far as I can recall I was always easily able to insure my cars against the risk of Fire and Theft whilst I was in the process of rebuilding them.

The wooden structure might cause a perceived increase in the risk of fire. Have you asked your normal insurers for a quote?
