Can anyone recommend a foot pump that doesn't fall to pieces after a few uses. I've tried single and two barrel from Halfords and not impressed. Perhaps a vintage model from an autojumble/car boot sale would be best?
Try heritagefootpumps.co.uk He has a stock of refurbished pumps appropriate to our cars and beautifuully refurbished. Alternatively buy one at an Autojumble and refurbish it yourself. My Kismet Baby cost about £15.00 plus £6.50 for a new leather washer. Now resplendent in black and brass, and working far better than my twin-barrelled Michelin pump from Halfords.
There are also other dealers and some good websites for information.
Instruction manuals for the P and N types show the long tubular type foot pump with folding feet in the tool kit illustration (Shelley I am guessing?). No guarantee they did not change suppliers at times.
