Hello Yoji. Welcome to the Forum. Very interested to see that your J2 competed in many events in the 1930s. Some of those events were in North Wales & the North West of England. Do you know who the driver (s) was ?. |

Hello George. Thank you for the welcome. Future, because I believe you would like to return to the form of the original small place of this car, and we look forward to good advice.

Hello Ray.
This car over to the U.S. from the UK home country, it seems to have come to Japan. Thankfully, I had you examined the initial data, but there is no data from then he moved.
The chassis number of my J2 is J3593. And the E / G number is 2521 A117 J. Mr.Jos- Pierre Wantz checked the history by the data mentioned above.

Yoji, There are references to your J2 in "Light Car" magazine 09/10/36 (p609) & The "Sports Car" magazine 11/35 (p326). I'm not sure if there is photos there, or just references, without digging out the magazines themselves. The driver in all the events you mention was Mr C.R.Pond.

Hello Yoji, Welcome and I hope you enjoy your J2 as much as I do.
Did anyone mention a red J2, did I hear someone say "trial"?

Hello Yoji,
According to Mike Hawke's (late father of JMH) book "How They Ran" your car J3593 also competed in the Liverpool Motor Club Trial of 30th June 1935 and the MG Car Club Cockshoot Trial of 1935 (date not mentioned) in addition to those events listed by you. In all events, the driver was C R Pond. In addition, in the Junior Car Club North Wales Trial of 27th April 1935 he won the Rowlands Challenge Cup.
If anyone has copies of the magzines referred to by Jeremy (JMH) these might well show the U.K. Registration Number, but I rather doubt whether they do, because in Mike's two books relating to the J2 Model, he says "U.K. Registration not known". I am sure that if any photographs existed Mike would have found them.
Very best of luck - and enjoy the J2.
