I'm most interested to know the history or significance of the swastica displayed on the Pathe border in the clip where Eyston runs EX120. I'm sure it's a simple historical issue. Just curious. Regards
I believe it was a common decoration in American Indian art and weavings as well as in tribal oriental rugs way before the Nazi party adopted it. I doubt that it was nothing more than a decoration in 1932.
which shows Shelsley Walsh 1933, with Miss Watson identified in the narrative, driving J3 3772; No5 at 20 secs in. Stop frame gives many clear details (except the windscreen wiper position, since this has ben removed!) including rear view mirror, passenger operated spotlight and twin horns. I think, but can't be certain that the seating is bucket seats.
John MG 2603 is L2056, register No 180, which is one of the three MG L2s which also ran in the 1933 Alpine rally driven by Tommy Wisdom along with L2068 and L2072. Cheers,
