I have just been sent the race entry paperwork for MG90 by Steve Carr. Not sure if it is published anywhere else yet.
See below part of the 2 page form. Surprised would seem to be an understatement. What happened to running with the lower powered FISCAR cars to reduce the speed differential especially on approaching corners, and 30 mins of it, or have I misread this.

Hello David

I haven't seen the full spec, but I believe the Club's intent by using the 'by invitation' feature is to restrict the grid to cars that, although somewhat different from Triple-Ms, will exclude the more extreme sort of FISCAR hardware.

I won't be entering Race three at MG90, with some regret!

OK everyone, we have bowed to the inevitable and have advised the MGCC race committee that there will not be any Triple-M cars (and probably no other VSCC entrants) in the 'prewar etc' race at MG90.

Please resist the temptation to use this news (if indeed it is 'news') as a springboard for continuing rants on the subject

We plan to regroup and, building on the great success and popularity of the March 2014 Silverstone National race, our plans for the future will be to maintain and if possible increase the involvement of Triple-M cars in MGCC (and other Club) races and on circuits that are more conducive to our cars.

So just for now let's hear it for Fred Boothby, who has done so much over the past year to promote interest among our racers and of course to the intrepid racers who put their necks and wallets on the line to support the movement.

One of our fraternity who is hoping to bring his nice swept wing L2 down from Grantham to include in the Time Line is looking for a spare space in a caravan or tent for Saturday night.

Does anyone please have a spare berth/space?

Problem now resolved - thanks!

Thanks

Could anyone (including the usual suspects) who is planning to enter the Sprint or the California Cup please pop a reply to this posting. I'd like to get an idea of how many are likely to be involved.

Thanks
Dick

Hello folks.

Here come three requests regarding MG90!

1. Please would everyone who is planning to bring their Triple-M car to MG90 please say so. Need to ensure that there is sufficient space in the Register car park.

2. Would anyone who plans to take part in the Cali Cup or the sprint please say so.

3. And finally we'd be very grateful for marshal offers for the sprint. Please let know if you're available?

Thanks

Dick

I plan to be at MG90 on the Saturday. Lets hope that the weather is good as I see from the booking form that good weather is a prerequisite for register parking.

A Triple-M Register friend is bringing a significant (and currently secret ) exhibit to MG90 on Friday pm and is staying there until the close on Sunday.

Does anyone have a bed they can offer him for Friday night - either on site or nearby?

Saturday is already sorted - it's just Friday night he needs.

Thanks in advance,
Dick
