I have acquired an ENV 75 preselective gearbox with the code LR. This code is not mentioned in the 2013 register publication. Does anyone know which car manufacturer used this code? Regards Jos
There is reference to ENV75 stamping of letters in M Green's book M.G. Road Cars Volume two the 6 cylinder cars.
The FG prefix was used on all production MGs, including K3s, Q and R types were fitted with either Q or QH prefixes. Other stamping a mentioned are M and R for Riley's, LT in Lagonda and CX in Crossley. There is no reference to LR.
It is indeed very kind of Gerhard to answer the question of Manfred and providing information on his ENV parts.(not mine)
I have been informed that the code LR means low ratio and possibly added later as it is in a smaller letter type and following the box number i.s.o. preceding it.
So that answers my question. Thanks for your input.
