I have been cleaning out & have come across the dumb irons of what I believe was M type.
Could someone please confirm if 13902 is Minor or M type?
Both irons have E150 also stamped.

I have tried to upload photos but doesn't look like I can.

I can see pictures of a J type under your name but none of a dumb iron. The pictures must be in jpeg format (file name must end with .jpg or .jpeg)

Most probably a Morris number.
M's only went up to about 34xx.

So I assume it is minor.

Tony's correct - M type chassis numbers ran from 2M 0251 to 2M 3485.
E1502 was the part number for both Morris Minor and M Type chassis.

The chassis number reads SV13902 (or 13907?). You can make out the SV just above the 13. This is a SV Minor chassis from around 23rd February 1932.

But don't be too downhearted. Looking at the build records, this car left Cowley as a driving chassis - to either be delivered overseas (most went to Australia, some to New Zealand, a few elsewhere), or to one of the British coachbuilders to be bodied as a special. Chassis 13900 to 13911 were a batch of chassis, so I suspect the batch went for export.

And now I see you are in Australia - so that settles it!

Ian G, have you tried the macro facility on your camera? It makes close detail pictures pin sharp, is easy to use, and the images are very much more pleasant to look at and easier to understand.
