The Dutch Vintage Sports Car Club in cooperation with the Circuit Park Zandvoort is organizing “Vintage Revival Zandvoort” on 26 and 27 September 2014. During these two days the Circuit Park Zandvoort is all about historic car racing; you in your pre-war car will be able to relive these illustrious times.

From different European countries the most beautiful pre-war cars will come to Zandvoort where participants can race or demo ride their cars around the track several times a day. Besides driving on the track there is plenty of time for socializing with old and new carfriends .

The DVSCC would like to invite you to participate in the Vintage Revival Zandvoort, a unique event in a charming place. In addition to the Vintage Revival Zandvoort during the same weekend the British Racing Festival will be happening as well.

So far only 3 MG's have entered, although one of these is the well known orange P-type, driven by Thijs. I sincerely hope there will be more MG's so we will outnumber the entered Bugatti's.

More information can be found here: http://www.dvscc.nl/vintage-revival-zandvoort/

Kind regards,
Maurice

Now is there to be a proper RACE (or two ) at Zandvoort , or is this going to be another 'demonstration' ? If it is to be a race , I know of three MMMs that would like to participate , and possibly more .

They're working on it, Fred! The organising committee is actually meeting as we speak, will let you know of the outcome! In an earlier stage I was given to understand they needed a grid of at least 15 cars to have an official race ...

For the time being the programma consists of two officially timed regularity sessions per day per group (upto about 100km p/h, upto 130km p/h and unlimited) as per Oldtimer GP at the Nurburgring.

Oh... that is just what I wanted to post...

Anyway, perhaps those who want to take part only if it wil be a race can fill in the registrationform which can be found here: http://www.dvscc.nl/vintage-revival-zandvoort/test-3/ and make an extra remark in the field "details of the car". Then we will know who is interested in a prewar-race. If you want to take part in a "normal" run you can fill in the form without a remark.

Kind regards,
Maurice

I presume this is on 27th and 28th September, a Saturday and a Sunday,as on most of the web pages,
http://www.dvscc.nl/vintage-revival-zandvoort/ and above says 26/27th.

Sounds very interesting.

I have registered, with a note that a race or two would be preferable. I suppose a demonstration with no speed restrictions might be nearly as much fun.
Anyone else contemplating this event.

Thanks Cat.
Don't really want to drive the circuit behind a Pace car, probably wouldn't come if that was the only option, but I expect Thijs in the clog would feel the same.
Any other UK cars interested ?

Hello David,

Thank you very much for registering, I have received your registrationform in good order.

Do not worry about a Pace car: you can drive as fast as you want. And apart from Thijs there will be some serious fast Bugattis and Bentleys as well.

Kind regards ,
Maurice

Wow, great news David!
I'm looking forward to see you at Zandvoort.
Yours and I hope more overseas entries will give the event a tremendous added value!
Regards, Thijs

I am trying to register , really . But I don't have a computerized type photograph , and it won't accept my registration without it . Maybe Thijs had a camera mounted on the Orange Clog - but then it would only show my rear view !
