It has been a great weekend full of fun, good driving, nice people and beautifull weather. I am sorry for those who had registered and have cancelled of for the one who had registered and just did not show up without notice, but it was one of the best events I have attended. The combination with the DTM did not cause any problems what so ever. Actually: it was nice to introduce our cars to a whole new audience.

Highlights for me: the battle between an MG P-type and a Lagonda Rapier and an Alvis 4,3, meeting new people and the fastest wheelchange I have seen on a J2!

Last but not least: sorry, Adrian that you had to wait for the camping.

Anyway, some pictures. All picures are taken by Wico Mulder and are provided by the DVSCC.

Well what can I say,
Probably the best event I have done.
After our arrival in Holland our first stop at the MG workshop for coffee
Kim, Vince and my self were made so welcome, thanks Cat & Thijs
(Great workshop)
Then on to zanvoort.
Welcomed by the DVSCC who quickly sorted some
Small issues due to the DTM takeover !
4x35 min sessions of track time was amazing
Made so many new friends
This event is a must for the future !
Well done to the organisers and FO319 for
Getting me home !

With only a few exceptions, it's encouraging to see so many without gray hair!

Well done to everyone . From the pictures it looks to have been a really good fun weekend. I do hope that my withdrawal ( at the last moment ) wont prejudice my chances of getting there for next year . With the uncertainty caused by the inclusion of the DTM it was safer and cheaper to stay this side of that very expensive stretch of water and race at Snetterton insteaqd . I am now looking forward to next year . Fred Boothby

What Maurice no doubt means by ignoring your post just now, Fred, is that of course you won't now get in next year !

I was very sceptical when we first heard of the DTM, but yeh, it did turn out to be a fabulous event indeed! When we first arrived we were stopped at the entrance tunnel and asked (in German) if we spoke either German or English to which I replied we spoke Dutch (in English) to which the bloke said 'Ah, good!' (Or was it 'Gut'?) and happily continued in German !

Lovely to have Adrian, Kim and Vince over at our Workshop too early Friday morning, good fun!

Well , that film of Jack van Gelderen's car is excellent ; and it does look as though the event was held on the old original Grand Prix circuit - and without the chicanes ! Can anyone confirm this ?

Fred
It was a on the full circuit as it is now, though a Grand Prix was never run on this layout.
But the full circuit is a good and challenging track with out chicanes :)
check this link for all the changes in layout over the years
