Personally I couldn't be less thrilled, but yes, as I understand it, the DTM circus is most certainly coming. For this, the British Race Festival (which was being held at the same time as the Vintage Revival) has been cancelled. The Revival has not.

What has yet to be decided is what form the event will now be able to take on. I imagine what they could do is to have 'our' time slots amended/cut, but let's just wait a few days and see what happens! I am convinced the organising committee are giving it their all!

As one who comes over to the UK quite regularly, I am fully aware of the cost involved with the crossing and having to cancel, but who knows, all may be well still!

Spoke to one of the organisers the other day and apparently there will definitely not be any cuts in the allocated driving sessions. Questions that remain unanswered are whether there is a proper spot for 'us' somewhere in the paddock or not and what shape it can all take, sort of, if you see what I mean. I guess you should all decide for yourselves if you want to be present at an event where the main attraction is a modern car race with all the modern crowd that comes with it or not . I do hope you get more news soon!

Would it not be better to post on here , as some people are interested but have not registered as they would like to know something more definite before they do register. )))

Just received an email in Dutch from the organising club, the DVSCC.
Basically nothing has changed from the initial plan. There will be two 25 minute sessions a day which will all be of the regularity type (I presume), so no official racing. The total number of entrants has been brought down to 60.
Every entrant will receive 2 entry tickets plus car plus trailer. More tickets can be obtained through the Club at a discount.
The Vintage Revival Zandvoort 'circus' will be allocated a plot on the wider bit of the paddock where the cars will be guarded overnight.
Camping at the circuit is allowed, but whomever wants to do so, needs to let the organisers know beforehand.
Plans are in hand for a barbecue on the Saturday evening.

So there you have it! Sharing with the DTM certainly does not have my personal preference, but I suppose it could still turn out to be a grand weekend! Over to you!

Thanks Cat,
The original programme, had I think 3 group sessions, each with 4 x 25 minutes of play time, to allow for different performance levels. Are we down to "just" one group for all the cars or does the original arrangement stand,

Regards

Now we can have a nice contest of sound between pre-war's and DTM cars.
Not sure which is louder....
