I was reading the latest bulletin and noted Barry Fosters comments (minuted at the AGM) regarding numbering of new engine blocks. Just for the record, there are a number of new blocks in cars in Australia (and on the Register) where the practise has been "original # then R (for replacement).
Both systems are obvious and I am sure can sit side by side.
