Nice day at Wiscombe on Saturday. Overcast, but quite warm and not any tweed jackets, homburg hats nor Marilyn Monroe replicas to be seen. Seems that many MMMrs went to Loton, as only three stalwarts were competing in Devon and not too many MMM spectators either. This was rather a shame as Wiscombe is an excellent hill for MMM cars. Best MMM time was put up by Frank Ashley in his M who did 66.55 just beating Phil Coombs in his J2 who clocked 68.29. The third "musketeer" was Brian Galbraith in his J2 who did a best run time of 78.88, although in practice he had managed 73.10. Must have been getting tired as the day wore on !
On returning to West Sussex on Sunday, and travelling west to east, in the Midhurst area every road running south to north was clogged up with Ferraris, Jaguars, DB5s etc. Must have been some other event on somewhere.
