My M type has what I believe to be a D type cam cover with brass plate on the O/S. I am looking for a alloy M type cover with product reg plate on the O/S. Would be prepared to swop with a D type owner with the wrong cover.
Hi If you find a M type cover with the plate I would be interested in buying the D type cover for my car. The cover I have does not have the brass plate.
Hi Gary It sounds as if you have an M type cover as Ted Hack of the D group tells me that all D's had a brass plate on the offside. If so would you be interested in swapping with me. I will send you an image of my cover if you are interested. Regards Stephen Ashby
My cover is just the same as Sam's. A thought. Underneath where it says "Midget Engine" it is also engraved "No." Sam's is blank, as is mine. Is there any evidence that a number was ever inscribed by the factory ?? Does anybody have a plate complete with a number ?
Mine has the plate but no engine number. Incidentally, Is Stephen the Stephen Ashby that used to live in Loughton many years ago and let me copy his M type door drawings? Keith
