Hello folks,
As some of you may know I'm involved with Sir William McAlpine's private, standard gauge steam railway at Fawley nr. Henley-on-Thames (driver, grease monkey etc). There is the opportunity for a group visit during 2015 and it would be great to get a Triple-M group together.
The railway runs up and down a 1 in 13 gradient, it's a mile and a quarter long and the museum has been described as the next best outside York! See http://www.focustransport.org.uk/yfawley.aspx and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyQwA6wCzSM
The proposed dates (this is an update) (we will only get one of them!) are:
Sunday 10th May sorry about the deletion Sunday 7th June (I shalln't be there that day - an added incentive perhaps?) ![](images/icon_smile_wink.gif)
Sunday 19th July sorry about the deletion Sunday 16th August
If you'd be interested in joining in, just send me an e-mail to richard dot morbey at gmail dot com stating which one or more of the dates interest you.
I'm hoping we can get together a group of 30 or more visitors and a good lineup of cars!
PS I left out the all-important info: Admission is by 'suggested donation' of £10 per person. Young children go free!
Thanks Dick Morbey |
