After stripping down a carb for my F1 that has stood for nearly 20 years it pretty comprehensively fell apart! The second carb, however, is all fine and will live to fight another day.

Does anyone have a complete 1" (measured at manifold face) OM type carb that's for sale? Doesn't matter if it needs rebushing or rebuilding, so long as it's not cracked etc.

Thanks,

Paul

Paul,

If all else fails, Burlen Services can supply new 1" OM bodies - see http://sucarb.co.uk/om-carburettor-body.html

Not cheap, but......

Has anyone happened to see one of these in their workshop lately? If so, I'm still in need!

Thanks,

Paul

I would post a pic if I knew how! I can email it if you can let me have your email address?

Thanks,

Paul

p.s. a quick web search gives this result
http://carb.su/images/content/unusual/OM/1.JPG

The spindle dia is 1/4" and bore diameter at manifold face is 1".

The Part Number cast into the body of the existing carb is probably the best way of identifying it. Incidentally, I understand that the OM carbs now available from Burlen Services are made of a better material than the 85 year old originals and could well be less likely to fall apart comprehensively !

Paul,
I think I can help you out. I replaced the 1" carbs on my F type with 1 1/8". Do you need float chamber as well? Probably best to email me direct. My email address is on the forum.
