In support of trailer usage:

When I've paid for an event entry, paid in advance for B & B, taken costly time off work, cleaned the car (!) etc, it's nice to know that I'm pretty well guaranteed to start far-away and sometimes potentially damaging events such as Trials with the help of my little (two-wheeled) trailer.
I've also used it a few times to recover the car when a significant mechanical malady has struck, very handy indeed at the time. Nice to be able to lend it to friends occasionally too.
Same home-made trailer for 30 yrs, Tows perfectly, often over long distances on motorways. Not had a blowout yet....

Wouldn't be without my trusty trailer to widen my MMM horizons.

Hello Brian, can you tell me how long your minnow trailer is?

There is one on e bay at the moment at 10' 6" it's marginal, just wondered what you have.

Thanks for your help.

Graham Carpenter.

Graham, due to a misunderstanding, the friend who welded up a four wheel trailer for my PA made it 10' long, instead of 11'. The PA sits on it perfectly well over long distances, but of course sticks out over the back. It could, of course, be a problem if someone runs into the back of it. I could weld or bolt a protective extension onto the back, but am reluctant to do so as the trailer is galvanised, and I don't want to compromise the galvanising.

Just gone outside and measured mine - the channels are exactly 10' long. I would have had an extra little bit of length if it had been available at the time. For a standard cyclewing J2, 10' 6" should be fine.
Just to be clear, my trailer is a home-made job, not a factory-built Minno.

Would I wonder, a new Brian James Shuttle 2 with its enclosed low drag aero GRP canopy take a MMM car in terms of height of radiator and at the rear of the car also , otherwise they do look ideal, if not a particually cheap option.

When I looked at a Shuttle 2, the clearance over the radiator seemed marginal and the bed length was a bit tight too so I decided against it.
Generally speaking, you need a bed length of 3.7m and a bed width of 1.7m. (for P type). Another critical thing is the ramp width ( our cars are very narrow ),but of course a shuttle has a full width ramp.
