What a great caption competition that makes

Thankyou all for giving us such a great MG spectacle to enjoy. There was MG action in just about every race, and I guess more so than any other marque?

Glad you enjoyed the pics Mark. It's a pleasure to be able to give a little back in return for seeing these great MGs in competition action.

It was great to catch up with some of you again, and hope to do so again soon.

Best Regards
Colin

Yes a great weekend for Triple-M cars. The race competitors have established MG as a well respected marque in the VSCC; indeed as one of the leading marques in the club.

A good number of Triple-M cars also figured amongst the spectators over the weekend and in the Concours and Autosolo on the Sunday.

We are all hoping that it was a commercial success as well, so that we can go again next year. And perhaps we could persuade Peter to hold his Summer Gathering on an alternative weekend, so that we can enjoy the best of all worlds.

Sounds like a great day - well done all those who competed, you have done us proud.

As a matter of interest who achieved the fastest Triple-M lap time?

1:23.72 Bellevue
1:23.76 Kayne Special

Harry Painter and Charles Jones in the 1:26's. Should make for a cracker at Mallory.

Much has been written about Pre-War Prescott and rightly so but that weekend saw some stirling performances by the Triple-M entrants at VSCC Oulton Park.
Fred Boothby, in particular, chasing much more powerful cars in his J2 as reported in the extract from Motor Sport & the result in the Relay Race at the end of the day was outstanding. Well done to all.
