Mike tube is straight. Chris would recommend that you buy thick wall s/s tube not the thin decorative stuff.

Hi Mike, The original tube is dead straight, its made of steel, but one end is corroded from rust. The headlamp brackets have undergone a repositioning exercise, I have a copy of the details of the job from the original receipt, this was due to the lamps becoming covered with mud from the front wheels. The bracket in the centre of the tube was to connect strengthening bars, there is a blog on the subject in the forum.

I have ordered stainless tube 15.88mm ( 5/82 ) diameter x 1.65mm wall thickness T316 ( ebay 111412419127 ), length to cover the estimated 660mm ( 26" ), I will report on the product when received. ![](images/icon_smile_cool.gif)
