The colour plates posted by Rod B show a very close match to remnants of the lighter blue on the inside of the Ash frame and elsewhere on various other parts of my PB so it's almost certain that this PB was painted the lighter shade of blue with blue seats and silver wheels.

It's a shame that I don't really like the colour but I suppose I can apply a bit of poetic license to the shade of blue that I might choose??

Thanks everyone, it's been most informative.

Graham.

Graham,

Since my name has come up in this thread, I recon I should comment!!

First, the blues were matched from two cars - a late NA and a PB. They were clearly the same two blues on both cars. The colors are close to the ones listed in Malcolm Green's book and elsewhere.

My NB gets so many positive compliments on the blues, it might be worth considering at least a large spray out before you decide not to use one or both.

Is there ANY old paint remaining on the wings? I don't know if it has ever been determined that a BLUE (or red or green) car meant mono-blue or duo-blue, even though sometimes the records showed "two blues" or "duo-blue", which made it a no-brainer.

If the story of not being able to match Carbodies colors did indeed require a totally separate color, then the answer is they were typically always duo-colors. Right?
