Are these "new" cars identified on the register. F1 and J2 I believe....

Note how un-plumb and un-level the F1 appears, and this on a show car.

Tom, I can't find any reference to these specific cars...

Do we know if MG sent new cars to Olympia?

I would have presumed so...

And would there have been a note in the chassis file?

Cheers

Looks like 12 inch brakes on the F, Type so an F3, my old F3 which I was only the third owner was reputed to be an Olympia Show car but I have no prof of this

I thought they were 8" but by Oct 32 they were probably 12" as the factory was into the F2/F3 production. My car F1344 was the Works Demonstrator from new and was fitted with 12 bikes by the factory but there is no mention in my chassis files of it having gone to Olympia. I supposes this leads us to the presumption that it must be a chassis number after 1344.

Cheers

My F3 was F1389, bought in 2003 from Croydon and the same family since 1933, so Olyimpia not to far away? Don't know where the car is now, only sold due to divorce. Even had the original wiring loom, all as left the factory, fantastic find. anyone know where it is?

Ashley - the current Printed Register still shows you as the owner.

Surely this rare car has survived?

George,

Yes I know, due to divorce and house move, the new owners details were lost.
But I am sure it will crop up again at some point, let's hope still in it's four seater guise.
