Looks more like a TA or TB Drophead Coupe by Tickford ?

Definitely a Tickford bodied TA or TB.

Hopefully the T Register might be able to assist?

ttypes.org (soon to become The MG 'T' Society Limited) can assist.

The car is a 1938 TA Tickford built by the Factory on 16/08/38. Chassis number TA2568. Sent from Abingdon to Salmons & Son, Newport Pagnell to be fitted with a Tickford body (Salmons body number 4092) on 21/09/38 and delivered 16/12/38.
The first owner was a Mr J North of Loxwood House, Loxwood, BILLINGHURST, West Sussex.
The car is in the USA and has been for a number of years.

I am the present owner of TA2568 purchased from Barry Walker in 1985 the car is in Trumbull,Ct now. Fully restored
