Nothing much to say about this but of interest nonetheless. Norman's Black's NE number 28 (NA0519) with A.P. Hamilton's car, number 29 (NA0517), beside it.
Thanks Simon. Interesting photograph of the NEs, always a car in the shadow of the K3 but having a charm of their own and certainly very effective when the rules of the TT were altered.
Looking at the picture more closely (I only just got this rather good copy from the chap whose father also took the picture of my J2 on another thread) I see that there appear to be both Luvax and André Hartford shock absorbers on the front axle.
The fitting of both Hartford and Luvax shock absorbers to the NEs was part of the build requirements specified by John Temple, the Manager of the Competitions Department at the time.
The twin shocks were also standard on the PB Crackers. Ken Crawford also had them fitted on his NA trials car JW 5703. Thanks for sharing such super photos. Alan
