I have been prompted to write by the appearance of a photo of this car under the Austin/Crowthorne thread.
I did a bit of research for a previous owner of this car with help from the Forum - thank you to all who helped. It appears this car is now in the Toyota Museum in Japan beautifully restored and red.
It wears a Q plate and DVLA tells me that it has been untaxed since 1986 which is presumably the year it went to Japan. I presume it would have lost its original registration when it came back from Rhodesia.
I wonder if there are any records of the car wearing its new registration - Q482FAD? It has register number 3258. Do we know who the owner was who registered it and when he did it?
Any further info gratefully received.
