I'm Looking for Information About an MG PA (PA prototype) with Chassis number P EX2, Body number: 1308 18 033. A friend of mine in Hamburg, Germany owned the car from 1981 to 1985. I've bought the "Instruction Manual" with some Hand written Information About the car. My friend has also some photos available he's happy to share with the current owner if the car still exists. |

Oliver, could that be the one ?? That car (PA1858) was a participant at the "Rally Hausach" in the Black-Forest in 1973. Gerhard

Hello Gerhard, As far as I remember from the photos I've seen the PA had J2 body. Will ask Jörg for some photos when he's back from his cruise and will share with the forum. |

I stand to be corrected, but I believe P/EX-2 is a different car from that shown in Gerhard's picture.
The registration mark is reported to be M-PA 136H (originally JB 3851) and the car is painted in a green/green/yellow combination.
The car resides in Hamburg and has been with the present owner since 1984-5.
PA1858 is Swiss-resident but we have little on file about the car. Back in 2004 this picture of what may (or may not) be this car appeared in MG Enthusiast. Does anyone know of it, or is it a case of mistaken identity?

Yes Dick, you are right, the car on the field at Hausach 1973 has no connection with P/EX-2.
My fault, because in those days it was always called "Prototype", but today also a friend enlightened me about the HANNI-Switzerland origins.
Obviously the rear end was altered since (see old photo below), and it seems to be for sale again: http://ipocars.com/vinfo/mg/midget_pa-1935.html Gerhard
