Hello, please find here a picture of the 1933 M.G. participating in the journée automobile 13.08.1933 in Echternach / Luxembourg (behind the Bugatti type 49).The numberplate of this car driven was 11347. What model of MMM was Jos Zigrand taking part in the class unto 1100cc? Thank you for your help!

I would hazard a guess and say it’s a J2 or a J3. It looks to be a cycle wing car with the close set headlights. An F2 wouldn’t be in the up to 1100cc Class.

Simon To me as an L type man the windscreen doesn't look like a J, or does it?
Kind regards

Sven,
I think it looks like a J2/3 screen (the same as an L2) with rounded corners at the top and what seem to be the protrusions of the B nuts at the bottom. The lower screen supports look to just go straight down, again, like a J2/3. The close set headlights are unique to the J2/3.
Should we interpret voitures de course as 'racing car'? If so, then perhaps a J3 but why was the Luxembourg Bugatti importer, Jos Zigrand, driving it?

I think it might be a special bodied car, windscreen looks too wide to me... |

And it couldn't be a K-type?

Factory K Types, apart from the K3 of course, were, I think, all swept wing cars which this doesn’t seem to be. Nor does it look wide enough to be a K Type of whatever model. We’ll probably never know for sure but the line of the rear cycle wings, the shape of the windscreen and its mounts and, especially, the close set headlights, would have me put my money on a J3 rather than a J2 since it’s seemingly in the racing car class rather than the touring car class.
