Wonderful pictures. This would have to be sent to the current owner.

Hopefully someone can make contact with the current owner to let him know the photos are coming up for auction shortly. I’m sure they’d like to have them. |

Yes, I would be very, very pleased if someone offered such pictures of "my" MG.
In autumn 1968 there were 3 buddies who went inland to drive fast on unpaved roads for a fee. See F1164 in autumn 1968 / Norway.

AUO is indeed NA0759 which has clearly had a very active life,
The latest printed Register shows chassis and bits in 2004. The car is an NB.

via Duncan Potter we have made Andrew Long (the new owner and racer of AUO) aware of this thread and the photographs. :)

Hi George . The doors appear to be rear hinged which would make it an NA . |

Hi Ray
The car is listed in the printed Register as an NB, the earliest car on the NB list is NA0758.
Gerhard has kindly referenced a previous posting on the tortuous matter of the change over from NA to NBs.
I note NA0759 was supplied with engine number 1019 AN which from the previous discussion would seem to be an early twin breather block. Unfortunately the build book for the N types has not survived so we will never know the true cut off date for the NAs - it would appear that in the changeover period there were some cars built with a mixture of remaining NA parts and the new NB parts?
All very interesting!

That's interesting. Many years ago a colleague at work picked the original glass plates of most of those photos out of a skip in Bristol & lent them to me for scanning. I forwarded copies to the then owner at the time. It's a small world.... |
