Ian, Many thanks for these photos. Am I right in thinking that the vertical support tubes run parallel to the side of the tank and then have a 90 degree bend so that they are then bolted to the chassis side rail? What purpose does the additional bracket then serve?

Simon, The rear tubes are as you say. The front brackets, using the Allen screws and simple clamping blocks, clamp the front of the rack to the rear of the scuttle. By clamping around the two 5/16" rods, which form part of the spare wheel carrier and pass through the rear of the scuttle. These clamps locate between the scuttle and tank. They are needed to support the rack. I was able to avoid the need to alter the scuttle or chassis. My apologies for inadvertently starting a new thread. Nick, thanks for you patience.
