After viewing the last photograph, what a relief to see it has been restored back into the single seat form as raced by Doreen Evans!

Yes, it wasn't a great beauty at that stage. Frankenstein's MG comes to mind.

I’ve copied the OCR version of this article - well spotted, Terry - from the Motor Sport website and saved it as an easier to read pdf document here - https://1drv.ms/b/s!AuXbEglE-QFZlI556P9foaS-kQjvSg

It makes very interesting reading.

If anyone wishes to see more details of the owners and events entered by this historic car, it is all set out in The Hawke History of MMM Competition Cars (pages 128, 129, 130 and 131 of my copy).

£150 - 200,000 sounds very reasonable when you compare it with the 30.255 million dollars including buyers premium that was paid yesterday at Bonhams Quail Auction in USA for a 1967 412P Ferrari Berlinetta.
Beautiful car but wow what a price.

Sold; hammer £140000 plus commission.

And what a lot of commission and VAT that is.
