I will send images of the apron with dimensions, just give me some time to do it!
Kind regards

Paul I have unearthed my front apron, would Barry Walker be able to supply you with one, it might be a lot easier and cheaper to buy a relic and restore it?

Paul this is my relic, you can see the complexity in making a copy.
Possibly the best way would be to make you a pattern with dimensions to work from. I would try to find another from the avail sources.
If not let me know and I will make you a pattern to the best of my ability.

I see that S&V list an apron for the L-type as their 1505. Maybe worth a check with Jamie. No connection except I bought an apron for my NA from him and was quite satisfied.

The N type chassis is wider than the L type I think.?

Not at the dumb irons I think, as although the front axle is wider, the spring spacing is the same.

S&V list different apron numbers for L-type and NA. So my guess is that they are a little different.

Although the width is the same, the sloping radiator of the L will introduce a difference.

I think I have found an N type front shroud, will make it fit, also has some N type front wings and running boards, will they fit the L or do they need adapting? I know the KN used the N type body on a K chassis and the L is the same chassis length, again any help much appreciated

Paul

The L is a development of the F and J and precedes the N and P. Thus F and J bits will fit but are wrong and the N has a wider track which precludes the use of N bits! As someone has said, the sloping radiator might prevent use of a P valence. which might otherwise fit (might be worth trying, though...)

You might find the services of Steve Gilbert useful in providing new panels. I have had the odd bit and piece made for my F and have been very pleased with them.

Cheers

P

Hi
Thanks, I understand the wider track but isn’t it the same length as it uses th3 K type chassis rails?

Approx length from forward peak down to running board join is 59" and width at that point taken from body side including radius 10.25". Measurements taken on my NB but will. check the wings offered later today . A capable welder could cut and shut whole length if necessary .
